The presentation will provide- An introduction to key terms and definitions. Provide suggestions on how to create and establish a pre-apprenticeship program. Lift up areas of consideration when contemplating a pre-apprenticeship program. Introducing potential operational and program delivery models; and Highlight possible best practices for serving targeted learners and workers. The sessions will be led by John Brauer, Sr. Program Manager for Workforce and Economic Development at WestEd. Mr. Brauer worked on the development of pre- apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs across sectors and regions in California for 11 years as the Workforce and Economic Development Director at the California Labor Federation. He also served for 11 years on the California Workforce Development Board.
